Attorneys Dedicated to Protecting the Rights of Motorcycle Accident Victims
Proner & Proner is a motorcycle accident law firm dedicated to helping clients understand their rights in the aftermath of an accident. The law includes a number of statutes pertaining to the filing of a motorcycle accident lawsuit, the size of a victim’s settlement, the types of injuries for which a victim may seek compensation, and additional matters. Our goal is twofold: to help clients understand how the law may impact their potential claim, and to provide the aggressive legal counsel necessary to protect a client’s rights.
Types of Injuries
Generally speaking, motorcycle accident injuries tend to be catastrophic (e.g., burn, spinal cord, back, and brain injury), although relatively minor injuries are also common (e.g., broken bones and road rash). A motorcycle accident can also cause wrongful death. Whatever the severity of the motorcycle accident injury, victims should still secure legal counsel, as they may be able to seek damages.
Motorcycle Accident Compensation
A motorcycle accident settlement includes compensation for the financial losses a victim suffers as a result of his or her injuries, including his or her medical expenses, rehabilitative treatment, lost income, decreased earning potential, and household expenses during recovery. The size of the settlement depends on a number of factors, including the severity of the victim’s injuries, the circumstances of the crash, state law, and the skill of the victim’s lawyer.
Filing a Motorcycle Accident Lawsuit
Filing a motorcycle accident lawsuit is a complex process centered on proving the fault of the negligent party. Proving fault, and handling all the procedural elements of filing a lawsuit (e.g., meeting the appropriate deadlines, filing the necessary paperwork), can be overwhelming without the assistance of a lawyer with experience handling motorcycle accident claims. Only a practiced attorney has the know-how necessary to obtain a favorable case resolution on his client’s behalf.
